To observe 1) the distribution of plasma concentration of Lipoprotein (a) [Lp (a)], 2) the association of Lp (a) concentration with other diseases known as risk factors of atherosclerosis and 3) parameters which influence the Lp (a)
concentration,
apolipoprotein (a) [apo (a)] was measured in 118 cases consisted of control group (38 cases), diabetes mellitus group 21( cases), hypertension group (30 cases), hypercholesterolemia group (13 cases) and combined group with hypertension and
diabetes
mellitus (10 cases).
